dc.description.abstractProductivity of construction equipment is one of the main drivers for completing the project within stipulated time and cost. To improve profitability there is a need of changing the methods, operation strategies and systems. There is an even greater need to properly plan the “Equipment’s operations”. Equipment proves to be economical only if used in the proper manner and in the environment for which it has the mechanical capabilities to engage. The work done in this project presents the identification and solution to various factors affecting in the productivity and profitability of an excavator. These factors are observed and identified based on the equipment owner’s feedback, observation of the operation of equipment on site and cost analysis.en_US
