Abstract: Parametric modeling is defined as use of parameters to obtaining the product’s geometric shape. It is also called constraint based design. Example, if two parameters of circle i.e. its center point and it radius is specified become part of model. Now a day’s all the CAD software uses the parametric modeling. Creo is one of the more familiar for parametric modelling. Creo is family of design Software supporting product design for discrete manufactures and is developed by PTC. Creo is used in aerospace, automotive, electrical industries. Creo runs on Microsoft Windows and provides apps for 3D CAD parametric feature solid Modelling, 2D orthographic views, finite element analysis and simulation, schematic design, technical illustrations and viewing and visualization. Here parametric design is help to designer to reduce their repetitive jobs. There is great requirement for automation where the repetitive task like design, modeling and assembly greatly reduced. Parametric modeling for the company’s product will be solution to face this type of problem.
