Abstract: The main objective of following research work is to carry out the finite element analysis of of structural sub-systems of Launcher system. The objective of this analysis is to check the entire launcher structural assembly for adequacy in strength and rigidity under various operating conditions. The Transporter, Articulator cum Launcher (TASL) System has been designed and configured to perform the role of Transportation, Emplacement, Articulation and Launching of article in a cold launch mode from a stationary vertical firing position. The Launcher assembly includes Launch-beam, Trailer, article, actuators, outriggers and other accessories. . The geometric modeling and meshing of the assembly is done in ANSYS software. Detailed analysis using FEA technique and ANSYS software has been carried out with a view to optimize it from weight considerations without sacrificing the strength and stiffness as well as ensuring adequate factor of safety and safety Margins. Static analysis of Launcher structure has been carried out for different loading cases while encountering different conditions such as braking, cornering, encountering any ditch or bump. Modal analysis has been carried to find out the mode shapes and natural frequencies of the system. Transient analysis has been carried out to find the settling time of the Launcher.
