Abstract: Microgrid is emerging as new power system. As the DC micro grid has developed, the control strategies of DC micro grid has become an important topic for researchers. The researchers have suggested many control strategies such as master/slave, current/power sharing and other hybrid methods. Nowadays, the droop control strategy is being used widely for controlling DC microgrid. All the distributed generators and energy storage systems share loads through different droop coefficients in droop control. This paper proposes power flow based control strategy for DC microgrid. The comparison between the power flow based control strategy and droop control strategy is made to show the improvements.
