Abstract: In recent years, due to their beneficial structural applications, castellated steel beams (CSBs) have been widely used in the construction industry. CSBs are beams with openings of different shapes in their web. The presence of such holes in the web of CSB makes the structures light in weight, cost-effective, and contributes to reducing the consumption of material. CSB is fabricated from steel I-beams by cutting lengthwise along their web to form two separate parts which are then put together after shifting to create a beam with openings and increased depth. CSBs are fabricated with different shapes of openings like hexagonal, circular, diamond, octagonal, square, etc.
