Abstract: Cold-formed steel (CFS) section is the term used for products which are made by rolling or pressing thin gauges of steel sheets in to various section like channel sec- tion. The application of CFS members includes the buildings, bridges, car bodies, storage tanks, highway products, railway coaches, transmission towers, drainage facilities etc. In this project work, Experimental study on exural behavior of back to back channel gapped cold formed built-up section using nite element method based on software (ANSYS Workbench). Experimental study is carried out on back to back channel gapped cold formed built-up beam section with di erent gap between back to back channel section and intermediate link channel spacing in between back to back channel. Models are developed in nite element software by keeping same material properties. All models are analyzed for two point load- ing conditions speci ed by previous research paper. Gap in between back to back channel section and intermediate link channel spacing for models speci ed by using AISI-S-100:2007 code.
