Title: Comparative Analysis of RCC Building with and without Bracing System Using Base Isolator
Authors: Mathkar Ganapat Laxman
Issue Date: 2021
Abstract: Earthquakes have been one of the deadliest natural disasters in human history, costing numerous lives and impacting negatively on human life. The structural parts of the structure must resist lateral seismic loads in addition to gravity stresses. High stresses and sway are caused by lateral loads, resulting in vibration and drift. Structures which are not built to withstand lateral load are at risk of collapsing, killing people and destroying property. One of the most common and successful techniques of defending structures from severe dynamic waves is seis- mic isolation. This research enlights the e ect of proving base isolation system of various thickness under RCC building of G+10 without and with bracing system using ETABS 2016. R
