The space frames are truss-like structures in which member elements are interconnected through a node connector. These structures are rigid and light-weight in nature. Due to its property of the uniform distribution of forces they are widely used for covering large areas. They are also called as 3D truss structures. In the present dissertation work, the structure selected for the study is an airport hangar. In this project work, a parametric study is carried out for the optimization of double-layer space truss. The parameters taken for the study are various arrangements of supports and roo ng material. These parameters are studied for di erent spans of an airport hanger. From general information of airport hangars spans selected for study are 60 m, 90 m, and 120 m.en_US
