Title: Analysis of Di erent Geometrical Shapes of High-Rise Buildings by Using Various Lateral Load Resisting Systems
Authors: Umesh Laxman Mali
Issue Date: 2020
Publisher: RIT Autonomous
Abstract: As of late there has been a colossal increment in the utilization of tall structures, particularly in metro urban areas. The urban communities are getting compacted and populated. This has enforced humankind to go for growth vertically i.e. high- rise buildings. As the structure broadens vertically it gets slender and receptive to lateral loads. The lateral loads are mainly in the form of seismic load and wind load. Therefore, it is essential to protect these buildings from lateral loads. Lateral load resisting systems assume a fundamental job in high-rise buildings. As the name show that the lateral load resisting systems it decreases lateral loads and make the structure safe.
